This small mantel was made of cast iron in the late 19th century.
Its straight lines are typical of the Louis XVI style. The slab adorned on its edges with denticles is supported by a straight entablature depicting small flutes that we also find on the jambs.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
