Brown patina bronze and gilded bronze. The base is made out of Rouge Griotte. This pair of candelabras in patinated bronze and gilded bronze is attributed to a sculptor from the entourage of Théodore Gechter. Made around 1850, the candelabras are characteristic of the growth in bronze decorated under Louis-Philippe's reign. Resting on a base of Rouge Griotte marble with feet featuring finely chiselled armour gloves, these candelabras are decorated with military trophies with armour, shields, axes, flags and halberds. Each candelabra is made up of five candle lights. The quality of the chiselling work, very fine and intricately detailed, is without a doubt attributed to the entourage of Gechter.
