This Louis XVI-style fireplace is carved in Alep Breche. This marble, composed of large rounded brown, grey, red, or black fragments on a yellow background, was quarried in the commune of Le Tholonet from 1712, then in Beaurecueil in 1735 and Saint-Antonin in 1756.
A rectangle-shaped molding adorns the band. The console part of the leg is adorned with a flower composed of acanthus leaves and a central knob, and three flutes run along the rest of the foot, recalling Greek columns.
On this fireplace, the Louis XVI-style is manifested by a quotation of nature mixed with motifs reminiscent of Ancient Greece.

This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron interior. The sides and top of the interior are decorated with laurel leaves tied with ribbons. The background depicts two naked children gathered around a plant bouquet.

This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
