This Regence style fireplace was made in the 19th century in a beautiful Vert d'Estours marble. The shape of this firepalce is inherited from the Louis XV style but with lines less curved. Indeed, the entablature still underlined by an oblong moulding doesn't show anymore a serpentine line but stays adorned on its center with a stylized shell with edges shaped as acanthus leaves. It is supported by moulding mounts also decorated with acanthus leaves on the upper corners.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order (please ask for marble availability).
