This Art Nouveau period fireplace was made of enamelled stoneware around 1900.
Its irregular outlines are a beautiful example of the aesthetics of the Belle Epoque, turned towards nature. The aesthetic freedom of this period is illustrated here with an innovative design, with columns adorned of stylized vegetation, which support a pediment crowned by a tablet rising above the level of the rest of the shelf.
The main decoration, on this pediment, frames the hearth with climbing leaves and two flowers, enamelled of pink and green.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
