In good general condition. Patina of the time. One hiden restoration on an handle.
Made during the second half of the 21st century, this cast iron vase was made according to the Townley vase, which is currently kept at the British Museum of London. This marble vase from the second century was discovered in the south-east of Rome in 1773. The paunch of the vase is decorated with a carved frieze in low-relief featuring a Bacchanal.
This vase is in the Val d'Osne Foundry's catalog.
