This pair of Napoleon III style cassolettes were made in the 19th century. They are made out of Portor marble, veined with ocher. The two cassolettes are adorned with a gilt bronze mount recalling the attributes of the god Bacchus: rams' heads on each side and a pine cone at the top. A row of pearls and garlands of flowers in gilt bronze complete this decoration.
