Pair of Louis XVI style candlesticks, in lapis lazuli and finely carved and gilded bronze, made by Charles Varangoz (born in Paris in 1831) around 1889. The candle turns around to form a cassolette cover with a pinecone shaped fretel. Presented in their case marked "Varangoz Lapidairerie d'art 91, rue de Turenne Paris."
