This beautiful antique Louis XVI style clock set includes a clock and two identical candelabras. It was made around 1880 and the clock is signed “ Denière Ft de Bronzes à Paris.”
The clock has a glass cover and is adorned with foliage, and topped off with laurel leaves. It seems to be maintained by two radiant gilt-bronze figures of a woman and a boy dressed in Greek-styled draping. They are placed on top of a Blue Turquin marble base adorned with spiral motifs, foliage, arrows, and quivers.
The candelabras, also placed on a Blue Turquin marble base, feature finely sculpted gilt-bronze, with light patterns of ribbon bows, leafy spirals, and a tree cone at the top.
The Denière workshop was really famous in the second half of the 19th century for the bronze manufacturing in Paris.
