19th century, Private mansion named Château des Charmilles, Valenton, Val-de-Marne.

Columns with square bases and capitals (Doric style), the shafts are decorated with stopped channel fluting in the bottom third and fluted in the top two thirds. A rosette adorns the band under each capital.
These columns were set by pairs into stone bases, and formed a colonnade surrounding the front entrance. During the Industrial Revolution, cast iron was used for private and public buildings.
Build in the last third of the 19th century, The Château de Charmilles stands on a much older piece of property (prior to 1810). The park surrounding it is protected and classified by the Monuments Historiques.
