As it stands
This three-sided lantern, richly decorated with scrolls and foliage, was made in the 19th century.
The lantern’s wall mount appears to be inspired by Art Nouveau motifs, with a “whiplash” line sketched at the top and bottom of the sconce, as well as the detachment of the “stem” at the bottom. This is at the base of several scrolls surrounded by bindweed stems and flowers and which themselves become plants at their ends. The lantern suspended from this abundance of plant life is adorned with numerous scrolls, while the framing of each glass pane echoes the rococo style through asymmetrical foliage motifs reminiscent of the Rococo style.
