This beautiful fireback was cast in the 20th century.
Shaped as a square, it is adorned with a medallion in an acanthus leaves arabesques surrounding. On the center of the medallion, we can recognize a scene of the Old Testament depicting the episode of the sacrifice of Isaac. This Bible episode tells how God wanted to try the loyalty of Abraham by asking him to sacrifice his only son before His angel stops him.
