Created in the style of the Louis XIV era, the piece is embellished with sculpted water-themed elements in several marbles and bronze, carved with impressive detail and accuracy. The shell, the vase and the bottom of the entablature are in Sarrancolin fantastico. The frame and base are made of turquoise marble. Two bronze dolphins are supporting the piece, tails intertwined, as weel as reeds also made in bronze with a medal patina. The mask and the other ornaments are in gilded bronze (gilding partly from the period). Circa 1850.
