Important antique Louis XV style fireplace with opulent decor made in the 19th century, in white Carrara marble and coming vfrom Belgium.
Its entablature is decorated with an opulent flowered shell from which escape acanthus leaves overflowing on the panels. These are carved with an original and regular geometric pattern, which provides an additional texture.
The movement emanating from the shell is reflected in the large scrolls of the consoles. They are covered with foliage from which are born smaller leaves, falling on the consoles.
This Louis XV style fireplace is exceptional by its size and its richly carved decor.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert nor marble floor but could be made to order.
