TURQUIN BLUE MARBLE. The quarries are located in Serravezza in Italy. Turquin blue marble was used essentially for furniture and fireplaces in the Louis XVI, Directoire and Empire periods. The fireplace of the Salon des Fleurs in the Château de Compiègne was made in this marble.
