This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made during the 19th century in a beautiful Carrara marble. The jambs consist of fluted half-columns decorated on their capital with acanthus leaves. They support a frieze adorned with garlands of flowers framed by a beaded border and sculpted with a remarkable finesse thanks to the luxurious Carrara marble. The straight and elegant lines as well as the bucolic patterns are typical of the Louis XVI style.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert but without any marble floor. This one could be made to order.
