In very good condition. The sides have been restored and the cast iron insert is slightly twisted
This elegant Louis XVI style mantel was made in the 19th century in white Carrara marble.
The angled fluted jambs with foliated rudentures are topped with a paterae.
On each sides of the chimney gilt circular hinged ventilation ports.
The cast iron insert , slightly twisted on the left side, is embellished with ornaments as acanthus, foliage, patera, frieze of pearls and scrolls.
This fireplace is sold with its original cast iron insert , but without marble floor . This one can be made to order.
