This antique fireplace was made at the beginning of the 20th century to decorate the house of Pierret Ferret in Bordeaux, South of France. Made out of Green Campan marble and Calcedonio di Volterra marble, this fireplace features several straight lines decorated with curved lines, very much like the Art Nouveau style.
Pierre Ferret was born in 1877 and was an architect in Bordeaux. Around 1910, he built his house at 80 Avenue Carnot in Bordeaux, a place that was both his home and his workshop. Designed by himself, Ferret Hotel was fully furnished and decorated by Pierre Ferret.
