This pair of patinated bronze andirons was made in the 19th century.
The gilt bronze bases rest on five round feet adorned with fluting and acanthus leaves; their pierced decoration alternates between acanthus scrolls and rosettes. The two bronze cherubs with a brown patina surmounting them are wrapped in cloaks from head to shoulders and extend their childlike hands to warm them by the fireside.
