This exceptional fireback was cast in the 17th century.
It is adorned by the France's coat of arms crowned with the Royal crown put in front of flags and war weapons. We can also see the mascarons depicting the Sun King and his motto "Nec Pluribus Impar", of which the signification was many times interpreted. The most largely accepted is the interpretation of Onésime Relcus " "Unlike any other", he thought it was the greatest king, the first of the men and maybe more than a man."
