This beautiful antique fireback dates back to 1603. It represents the coat of arms of two families in order to celebrate a marriage which probably took place during the same year. The two coat of arms are supported by an angel with its wings open. The coat of arms on the right belongs to the Richer de Beauchamps family, from Maine, and is made up of a gold chevron Gules with three champ crosses and three azure thistles. We still don't know who the coat of arms on the left belong to.
