Antique cast iron fireback with Louis XIV motto "Nec Pluribus Impar"

This small antique cast iron fireback was made in the 17th century. Louis XIV style, it wears a motto of the king: "Nec Pluribus Impar", which means "Above all." This motto is, as of this fireback, often depicted with the solar emblem symbolizing the Roi Soleil. The first use of this motto date from 1662 during the Grand Carousel, celebrating the birth of the Dauphin, which explain the presence of this animal on this fireback.
A fireback with the same model, also from the 17th century, is in the Chateau de Sedan in France.
