This superb antique firescreen is attributed to Eugène Piat, French sculptor and designer from the second half of the 19th century.
Made in gilded bronze, this antique fire screen is of absolutely exceptional ornamental richness. The frame is entirely in openwork and topped with a sphinx holding a shield. The middle of the fire screen is adorned with representations of military equipment.
