This antique Napoleon III style firescreen was made in the 19th century. Its opulent gilt bronze decor is characteristic of the Napoleon III style. Thus two quivers were carved on both sides while many branches of roses mixed with ribbons and draperies adorn the whole. In the center is a large flaming pot supported by two goat heads. The firescreen's feet are hoof-shaped.
