This cloisonne enameled is decorated with polychrome butterflies and peonies on a red background, with a tao-tie inspired gilded pattern.
This type of object is often produced on a blue background, it is pretty rare to find a red one, like our model.
The openwork ormulu mounted is present on the top, the base and the handles.
