This Louis XVI style fireplace set made by the Parisian clockmaker Balthazard has three pieces. The clock and the two candelabras are made of Red Griotte marble and gilt bronze.
On top of a rectangular base, the gilt-bronze clock body is placed on an Ionic capital supporting a fluted column. On top of the dial, there is a canopy of leaves framed by two cornucopias.
The two different candelabras also feature the fluted column, adorned with a rich garland of fruit and flowers. A putto and a satyr-child support the Rococo-style candleholders.
