Dimensions
Width 18'' ⅛ 46cm
Height 28'' 71cm
Origin:
19th century, France
Status:
Excellent condition. Some little accident on enamels.
Vases made out of enameled cast iron during the 19th century, shaped like an antique amphora. These vases are decorative elements for a garden, because they are made out of enameled cast-iron, which is an extremely resistant material. The handles curl up and feature a face in profile, with the nose resting on the top of the vase. The rim and base of the vases are adorned with friezes. The former is decorated with a geometric shaped frieze, and the latter is decorated with a frieze of palm leaves. Whilst the front has no decoration, the feet are also decorated.
