This exceptional Art Nouveau style pine and burr paneled room is beautifully carved and decorated with blue-green ceramics. A few gorgeously carved ornaments are balanced by sober lines.
The panels cover the bottom of the walls, and harmonize the whole consisting of a fireplace and its monumental overmantel mirror, and two beautiful doors.
In carved walnut, the mantel is animated by undulating foliage falling on its jambs. Its ceramic insert is also shaped by a decoration of enamelled holly leaves, in a green color that puts the wood to its advantage. The large overmantel mirror sumptuously raises the space of the chimney, with a large frame and two consoles allowing to place lamps.
The doors are surmounted by a small overmantel of carved wood, and adorned with ceramics and sober compartments. One of the two features a stained-glass window.
The fireplace is sold with its original enamelled insert .
