This monumental oak wood fireplace was made out of 17th century sculpted elements, in a montage of the 19th century. Neo-Renaissance style, this antique fireplace is composed of two jambs that are very curved at their upper parts, and feature the head of an old bearded man. The jambs support the carved cornice, made up of alternating fluted corbels and cartridges. The centre of the cornice features a woman's face. The hood of the fireplace is composed of a large carved panel placed in front and flanked by two pilasters. Elaborately decorated, it shows the scene of the Annunciation to the Virgin Mary.
This fireplace is sold without any fireplace insert or marble floor.
