This beautiful mantel carved in white Carrara marble dates back to 1830. The jambs, highly curved and scrolled above and below, display a very original silhouette. Fluted, they are decorated with a trompe l'oeil rope frieze. The straight front of the entablature, decorated with a rare central feature of oak branches and acorns, is flanked at either end by heads carved with rosettes. The hearth opening features a bevelled frame, creating a very distinguished decor.
This fireplace is sold without any insert nor marble floor but they can be made to order.
