Very beautiful antique Louis XVI style fireplace made out of Violet Breccia marble and decorated with gilt bronze ornaments. The frieze is thus highlighted with a bronze pearls frieze framing a frieze of fine flowering branches with windings. In the center of the frieze, a woman's head imparts delicacy and fineness to this beautiful gilt bronze decoration.
The jambs are also adorned with bronze with large acanthus leaf, pearl frieze and square rosettes on the heads of the jambs.
The use of bronzes is enhanced by the sumptuous Violet Breccia marble, highly sought after for its great decorative qualities.
This fireplace comes with its original cast iron insert and its original three squares marble floor.
