This antique Louis XVI style fireplace was made in the 19th century in Escalette marble whose veins give some movement to this beautiful fireplace with straight lines. The slightly fluted jambs with rounded corners support a frieze richly decorated with bronzes: two naturalistic rosettes decorate the corners while garlands of flowers and ribbons, typical of the Louis XVI style , enthroned in its center. In the frieze’s flutes are bronzes of flowers and leaves.
This fireplace is sold with a modern cast iron insert adapted to this fireplace and with its original three squares marble floor.
