The modillion mantel, such as this one, is a more complex variation of the Napoleon III style Capucine model. The jambs carved with molded panels, are decorated towards the top with oak leaves, falling in a candle formation. The modillions also have the same feature, giving a cascade effect. The lines of the entablature are geometrical and sober. The peaks of the entablature are decorated with moldings, decorated, like the entablature, with a central geometric figure. These strict straight lines follow the style of the Capucine mantel.
This fireplace is sold without any insert nor marble floor but they can be made to order.
