Beautiful and rare antique 18th century fireplace, Louis XVI period, made out of statuary Carrara marble slightly veined. The entablature is very finely carved with a frieze of interlaced laurel branches framing, in the center of the lintel, a rosette encircled by a row of pearls. The tapered jambs are paneled, figuring two pilasters crowned by a flat capital adorned with acanthus leaves.
