This small pair of firedogs was made of gilt bronze in the 19th century.
Forming an architectural base composed of two pilars linked by an arch, our firedogs depict a decoration in slight relief. We can see on each pillar some vases with long handles garnished with flowers and laying on laurel crowns. The archs receive the Empire attributes such as the eagles wings. Finally an oil lamp with the typical Empire style shape, taking the swan neck, is put on each edges bringing more relief to the composition.
