This beautiful cast iron fireback made around 1700 is adorned with a rare and rich decoration.
Its shape is characteristic of the 18th century beginning, the top in an arc of a circle form is supported by two roosters whose bodies are lost in the sinuous lines of ancanthus leaves scrolls. On the center, the interlaced L of Louis XIV are stylized in laurel branches, they frame the Sun King mascaron on top of which was put the Royal crown. We also find below the three fleur-de-lis from the France's arms.
