This firescreen has been made of gilt bronze in the second half of the 19th century.
Resting on four curved feet, the openwork gilt bronze decoration of this screen is composed
of acanthus leaves scrolls inhabited by horns of plenty and chimeras surmounted by a puttto mascaron with three feathers. This frame with an eclectic decoration holds a fence adorned on its center with a beautiful lion mascaron with dishevelled maned in gilt bronze.
