Beautiful antique Louis XV style firescreen made out of gilt bronze during the 19th century. The center of the firescreen is inrated with a torch and a quiver. Such firescreens were sold by Charles Mannheim in 1892 : for example a firescreen « decorated with foliage » and another with « attributes of love », mentionned in the sale Catalogue d'un beau mobilier époques et styles Renaissance et XVIIIe siècle..., bronzes d'art et d'ameublement..., pendules Louis XIV et Louis XV..., tentures, tapisseries... / [expert] A.
