This elegant wrought iron entrance gate is a tribute to the extraordinary know-how of blacksmiths of the second half of the 19th century.
The portal is surrounded by an arched frame sided by pilasters with lateral gates made to rest on a low wall. The ornamentation plays with the alliance of straight lines and curves, in symmetrical display. The pediment is toped with a large monogram surrounded with scrolls, a very popular motif in the second half of the 19th century, often found in the buildings built in the period of Haussmann in Paris.
This large Napoleon III style portal is a reinterpretation of the 18th century entrance gate, with a fanciful freedom of lines, curves and counter curves.
