Series of six columns in a beautiful deep Languedoc red marble resting on cube granite bases. The column surfaces are smooth and are shaped with an entasis. Having no capitals, they perfectly support stautes or urns. (See pictures).
Six columns of different heights : three of 97"1/4; one of 94"; one of 91"3/4; one of 90"1/2;
Languedoc red marble was often used in the grandiose interior and exterior decorations, particularly in the architecture of Versailles during the reign of Louis XIV.
